Burn Out
I turn on the radio
To another sappy love song
Turning it as loud as it can go
The pulsing in my ears makes tears dribble from my eyes
Every word stabbing me is it goes on
Words want to come out but they do not
Words about not fitting in
My losing faith in this god
Not standing up
Putting on a brave face
Words about depression
The boy who doesn’t love me back
The one who told me there was somebody else
When I swore he felt the same way
Words about trying to end this fight
But none of my words matter
And my tears are wasted potential
My head an unlit cigarette of ideas
To only burn out in the end
Words rising to the sky to never be seen again
