Reunited

I have transformed
I have become the angel they all saw in me
I have no recollection of what has happened
But I find myself looking down on my own body
My family sobbing all around
I reach out to my mother
But stop short when I hear her
Calling out
I look up to see
She Is burning brighter than a star
I glance at my family once more
Then spread my new found wings
And I soar home
To be reunited once again
And I am happy
Forever more
