runaways
Lucia tells me that she's going to go away for a while
she's got purple-white bright galaxies painted on her nails
and curly hair
when Lucia talks her white rabbit lashes flicker
she's got ripped shirts and frayed tights
she says a night away would mean so much to her if only she could fly with angel wings
Lucia doesn't mind having a deaf parrot
because he'll live for a hundred years
and scattered rainbows of birds will miss Lucia when she's gone
and her curly golden hair
and pretty fingers
