The Next Apocalypse of The Mind
How will we survive
The next apocalypse of the mind
How can we continue
With these gory ideas in our heads
Of hate and death and despair
The glazed over eyes
Of a dead child
Who had a sweet laugh
How can we forgive
If there is no one to blame
Except ourselves
Blood drips like a soft drizzle
Of vermillion rain
Rain feeds the crops
Blood feeds the body
Words feed the mind
If removed from humanity
The world is left with sickly people
Sick in the mind
Sick in the bones
Sick
But my love
How can we stop
If my mind has broken the brakes
