Our Society of Matches
Our society lives in small matchboxes
Little sectors joined together on a shelf
Every box packed past capacity
But nothing ever happens to stop it
Some matches in the box are broken
Broken hearts
Broken bones
Broken minds
More boxes are added to the shelf often
New matches to burn
Sometimes the boxes overlap
The box under usually does not make it
It’s the kind of society where nothing really happens
People stay in their boxes
The boxes don’t move often
When people leave they never come back
But we are a society living in matchboxes
People get burnt
Things breaks
And you never can glue back a broken heart
