Melancholy Princess
This is the real world, child.
There are no fairy godmothers
to grant your deepest wish
When you cry alone
While the rest of the world
joins the ball
There will not be
a flash of light;
All of your sorrows
will remain
Because this is real life
And you cry
but all the while
no one seems to
notice
And there shall not be
an end to that
sorrow
Because wishes don't come true
And magic doesn't exist
And your rags will stay
r a g s
Because this is the real world
And your tears will not be dried.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.
