buried
and this is where my heart will lie
your hands are a grave
your mouth is a coffin
i am dying & dying & dying
to hear you say my name
again, or for the first time
if i was a ghost would you
love me less?
you, the one i would haunt,
my last task-
i would be translucent and in my
still heart, still loving you
look at how you’ve destroyed me
i don’t recall removing this feeling thing
from safety behind my ribs
how could you?
i am a fool and i have given it to you
to break at your leisure
you are the sea, the water, the earth
and i thought i was invincible,
the captain of an unsinkable ship but
you are the perfect storm and see,
see how i am drowning in you
and this is where my heart will stay
your hands are a grave
your mouth is a coffin
i am dying & dying & dying
it is you who has killed me and
only you who i would want to
bury this taken heart

"..But inside something gnaws at me; some presentiment, anxiety, dreams - or sleeplessness - melancholy, indifference - desire for life, and the next instant, desire for death; some kind of sweet peace, some kind of numbness, absent-mindedness..." Frederic Chopin
