I look up into the darkness

And see so many twinkling stars

That I could just scoop some up

And put them

In a jar

That I would keep

With me

And then I would have light

When everything is black.

And when the stars

Itch to be free again

I would release them

Into the night

And no one would ever notice

That they were gone
