The girl who took the fall
She takes a step,
but does not walk.
She gives a twirl,
but does not spin.
She smirks and smirks
but does not smile.
Whom might I be to judge?
someone who was so broken...
They needed depth in misery.
Even beauty
can't cover this one's shattered
heart.
In fact,
many months ago
she walked,
but she did not take a step.
She spun,
but she did not give a twirl.
She smiled and smiled,
but never dared to smirk.
Now the day has come
when her smirk fades away.
As it faded,
her mind was made up.
She knew what she had to choose,
but the mistake was choosing
the Risk of flight
instead of ...
speaking her fall.
She was the girl who took the fall.
