Societal Grave
Society asks for more than I can give.
It’s quite the opposite of what it means to live.
So I might not like it’s seductive glance,
But at least I don’t fall into its cascading dance.
Too many before me have fallen into this well,
And I will not fall down to my knees whenever it rings it’s tiny golden bell.
Is it wrong to turn away from the new-found rave?
Obviously not when it’s secretly my grave
