Favorite Quote:
"This is my letter to the world,

That never wrote to me,--
The simple news that Nature told,

With tender majesty."

The tool of words
so fluid and true
captures the birth of a dove
and its very first coo

The dove's thoughts and dreams
travel through its head
'till the tool brings them to life
and the doves wishes are said

It wishes for hearts
filled with desire
for a sort of passion
to burn brighter than fire

The tool responds to the wish
and brings love with its words
but the love brings pain
that kills the song of the bird

The tool writes of a sword
that can revive the dove's song
but it needs the will of a knight
a will pure and strong

The knight is soon found
and the dove in its misery
pleads to the knight
"bring my song back to me!"

The knight complies
and with the sword in hand
the knight kills the dove
and buries it in the land

The tool mends its ending
and with its final stroke
the dove sings its last song
and with its last words spoke

"The pen granted my wish
for a love honest and pure
but the sword freed my soul
from love's deadly allure"

With love and death
in the hands of men
which is the mightiest
the sword or the pen?
