Eternal Night
Eternal Night
This Night does not end,
It twists on and on,
Until my will it bends,
God forbid I call it my friend.
It is not the night that is opposite of day,
It is the Night that once lead you astray,
Guided by the Devil himself.
He opened his hand to you,
Revealing the thing that brought you into this Night,
Away from which you cannot turn,
Not black, but white.
What looked so pure,
Was a dangerous lure,
You could not resist,
It hooked you with a twist.
And then you were gone,
Lost to The Eternal Night,
Victim to the Devil’s Powder,
Not snow though it was white,
But stopped your heart,
Ripped us apart.
And now every morning when I open my eyes,
I am trapped by the Night’s lie.
I will never see the sun for you were my sun,
I didn’t even get to say good bye.
I wake to the moon,
Stuck in this Eternal Night forever thinking,
Brother,
You left too soon.
