i'm glad to call one so sweet my beloved
you fill me with starlight
without your presence i'd be incomplete
alone and lost in 7219 Satterwhite
you simply unzip my toughened layers compiled
and reveal my weakest spots
and you touch them
tenderly
with love
and that valentine you gave me
all beribboned and laced
the thought and care put a smile on my shy face
your face
now that's like warm rain in July like bottled whiskey kept in a spice jar
like Maine beaches overswept in breezes
and a whispered prayer to a morning star
