The Alluding Light and Darkness
In the crowded room know as the world, our eyes met.
Our souls connected in that instant, and we began close the distance.
We conversed, our words formed intricate dance, teasing each other.
Finally, when I felt as if I had secured you,
You alluded me like most other dreams, and drifted off into the world.
You gave me hope, hope for a better day, but the light from you faded,
And after that, all that was left was darkness, which overwhelmed me,
Taking control of my thoughts and sight of myself.
However, through friends and family I broke free,
Becoming something more wholesome then my previous self.
Then one day you came back, greeting me with kind words.
We began to converse, our words dancing once more.
Finally, you felt as if you had me, as the person who got away,
I allude you, turning away from the nightmare that hovered above,
For I had become the light, which repelled your darkness.
