She stares at the window or up at the ceiling,
watching the fan go around and around and around again.
She waits for those snaps and the waves of hands
across her eyes to wake her up,
bringing her
dragging her
back to the real world
her horrible reality.
He stares long and hard at blank faces
willing some thought into them but its no use.
He goes home and dreams and dreams by himself
in his corner of the world no one can touch.
He hopes and dreams and chases the impossibly possible,
wishing one day someone will join him.
