Something Stirs
I feel
something--
it's warm,
hot,
compared to
the ice that
froze me before.
In front of me,
I see
your face,
your honey brown eyes
searching for--
for what?
A smile appears--
wait,
were you waiting
for me?
I look down--
your hand is
intertwined
with mine.
Something stirs
inside my heart--
I wouldn't call it
"love",
but as you grin,
I decide that
I wouldn't mind
if one day
that happened to be the case.

To love is to be vulnerable; Triumph is born out of struggle; We notice shadows most when they stand alone in the midst of overwhelming light.
