A Little Recognition.
At times I feel as if I’m all alone with no one to even say my name..
But really what I seek is not fame..
A little recognition… ‘Hello! I’m here!
Please can you just lend me an ear?’
‘No! Don’t turn! Don’t turn…please!
To make you listen, should I beg down on my knees?’
I thought ears were made to listen and tongues helped you to speak…
But now…why do your closed ears make my voice sound so weak?
It’s a humans right to speak one’s mind
But though most minds are spoken, ears willing to listen are hard to find..
So….I don’t seek fame but a little recognition..
An ear to listen to me and an eye to see my vision.
