I (Don't) Want This
I (don’t) want to grow up
I (don’t) want change
I (don’t) want responsibility
I (don’t) want to leave everything I know behind
I (don’t) want to look after myself
But I (don’t) want to sit here and watch
as I let
one more sunset
go by without me

Growing up is weird and awkward and painful, and I've found that I can feel two exact opposite things about the same thing simultaneously. Which is mind-blowing in and of itself, but also highly disconcerting considering that the future is, you know, fairly difficult to avoid.
