I like music that deafens you like heartbeats in the dark,
And shirtless walks on summer nights,
I like fire through my fingers and
Waking up early to Whole Donut and milk.
I like open block
And
I like my hair short,
I like snow three inches deep and kisses on the cheek
And I like Frisbee at night and soccer in the rain and
I like writing and
Whitman
And I like my last name.
But you change my music and then make my heart beat all night,
And tell me to walk with my adopted brothers and
Put down the lighter
And that donuts are gross and you only drink skim.
You take all the classes you can
And
Tell me to grow out my hair,
You hate the cold but still let me kiss your cheek.
And you hate athletics but you’ll dance in the rain,
You wrote me a letter about
Whitman,
So please take my last name?
