last goodbyes
you never know-
when the day will come
when your breathing will stop
and your life will be done.
you never know
when the sun will quit shining
or when the life you live
will stop unwinding.
you never know
when you'll see the last of life
or when you'll say
your last goodbyes.
you see, you never know
with things like this,
that's why it's important
to love and forgive,
the people around you-
before it's too late-
before they become victims, of pain and shame.
now- i'm not saying it's easy
but it's important to know-
that hatred and grudges, follow you-
whereever you go.
so thats why it's best-
to let go of all your selfish ways
and forgive the ones who hurt you
before you reach the grave.
they say keep your friends close
but keep your enemies closer
because forgivness is ideal
when you think it over.
i give this advice
because i know what it's like
i've been there myself
many times in my life.
so before i go
let me say this right-
forgive your enemies
and you'll be alright-
especially when you say, your last goodbyes.
