Civilization
Civilization
is merely the thin layer of polish
concealing
the scars
on an old mahogany clock
Held up with words of falsity
existing within our minds
ice-crystals in clouds
soon to meet their demise on the damp callous ground
As the icy talons of age
peel back the layers
only to expose the
barbarians who wear the skins of civility
while blindly following accepted social practices
like apes
casting stones in the tangle of new veins
