Mother
Mum, you are a figure of kindness,
in this world of hatred
An unflickering light,
in this round ball of darkness
A loving figure,
in this Jungle of Jealousy
A calming presence,
amidst all the stress of the world
A gentle Giving Hand,
in this crowd of Pickpockets
A Rose,
rising above the thorns,
and I, the Green Leaf
looking up at you,
wishing to be just like you
A ray of Sunshine,
piercing through the Gray clouds
You were the only one
who realized that
a STRONG HEART was more NEEDED
than a strong body
Mummy, I love you

When I wrote this poem, I just wanted to convey my Thanks to my Mum in a subtle way. As you can see, in my poem, I have included the many good things/ways which my Mother did/helped me in.
Therefore, Mum, if you are reading this, I would like to say Thank You for everything you have done for me. Mum, i dedicate this poem to you. I love you Mum.
