Little Steps
Just little steps
I have seen the way you cry
I have wiped the tears from your eyes
Why do you say I have not known or seen those dark and evil things
I have a special place for you
It is called home
I will show you where to go
So that I may create in you what they once saw in me
Youth, joy, hope and prosperity
I will let you take little steps
For you are a little one
And I do not wish upon you
The same fate that has become mine
Please my little one do not rush to grow up so fast
For it will ruin you
Just as it has ruined me
I shall never let your heart
Or your mind become as black and cold as mine
Please take little steps
I will guide you through the pain
While you cry
Let me tell you it will be Okay
Take it slow
And never will there be a time
When you are not mine
My dearest little one

I wrote this in honor of my little brother, we went through a difficult time and I hope that he knows now and forever that no matter our age he will always be loved and taken care of by me.
