Transparency
This is a motion poem.
This is about a girl with brown hair,
Unaware of the fabrication of chemicals
making cracks her bloodstream.
The transparency
of her familiarity
is obsolete;
The nape of her neck spilling over
with apathy.
Leaning against the eradicated structure of a staircase,
Watching her make her way through
the dust of smoke-filled walls,
stumbling through a crowded room
of unimaginable silence.
This is about a stranger,
unaware of the metaphors written
for someone
that won't even remember
falling asleep.
