When I First Met You

I thought you were an a**. Smart comebacks. Rude, but a great comedian nevertheless. Then I saw you differently. I saw you through a haze of summer and loneliness, and you looked pretty damn good through my own rose-colored glasses. But summer ended and the blissful mist blew away with the winds of fall. I see the truth now. That I was right the whole time. I've known you since that first firework on a cool summer night.
