drowning
I can't breathe,
The water is covering my whole body.
I fall further and further,
I'm holding my breathe,
But I wish to breathe in.
As much as want to breathe in,
to let go,
I know what's at steak.
My vision gets blurry,
and I dont think I can hang on.
I look up towards the sky to only see the water above.
I blink once.
And take in the water,
It floods in my mouth,
like the way a prairie welcomes the fire that engolfs it.
Unable to breathe,
I let go.
