My Reality
I'm trying to live a dream I know I can not achieve,
Yet I still reach for it.
I know I won't catch my dream,
As it shines so brightly in the night sky.
Even if do,
It will only burn a whole in my hand.
I'm not much,
and I don't come from much.
For I am a mere speck in this big world.
I try,
I really do,
But I'm not good enough,
I never have been.
My dreams don't come true,
They fly away like birds during winter,
Run free like the leaves in fall,
Or they droop and crinkle at touch like wet paper.
