Refugee, not free!
Today I had no Tea,
said the boy staring down to me,
His eyes were dull and his mouth was dry,
as I questioned reality!
Why was it he
who looked at the refugee
as the world just passed me by?
Could they not see?
Blind maybe...
to the fact life is never free!
What we need
is food and water,
Not some a tv mic
and news reporter
Perhaps over time,
we might conclude this climb,
see that the guns,
and the war funds,
are the only real crime!

After reading about the arrest of a refugee begging in the streets of Paris, I was appaled. His manner of life has been changed, and may never readjust. Is that really fair?
