The barren walls of my mind
Leave me less inclined
To let the outside world in,
To open my eyes and begin.
Please help me;
My demons beg me to sin
I delve beyond the surface to a place
That makes me nervous.
Where I’m scared to find
The cluttered mess I’ve tried to leave behind.
