Our Home is Camp
We watch as the sun rises
Then as it glistens off the lake
My friends all sit there, smiles as wide as an ocean
One turns to face us all and says
"You're all my family.
This place is our home away from home."
Those words linger in the air
A loon splashing in the early morning water
Small ripples construct
into larger waves
As boats begin to pass by
Moving as slow as turtles
Along the shining lake
we know all too well
