Saved
This miracle has been revealed to me,
A feeling I cannot explain.
My Savior has come to me;
I have been saved.
I was in the darkness,
Slipping away from society.
My God has shown Himself to me,
Bringing me into the light.
"You are truly a princess of the Kingdom God," He told me,
"You are a child of God, loved by God; you are never alone."
These words enlightened my spirit;
It has lifted the weight off my soul, and healed my brokenness.
I have been saved by the beauty of everything around me,
Now looking forward to my future.
This is what I've been looking for;
I wanted it, and I have been saved.

I wrote this poem not because Scripture tells me that Jesus died for me, but because of a miraculous event in my life that opened my eyes to the fact that just because Jesus died, it doesn't mean that His saving work had to stop. He is still with us, and still heals the broken, forgives the sinful, and protects the vunerable.
