My inspiration for this poem started with my best friend telling me that her mom has cancer and might not survive it. This got me thinking about life and how short it really is. I hope that people will read this poem and really take to heart the fact that they only have 2,522,880,000 seconds to live...and when you look at it like that, it doesn't seem like very long at all.
