Beyond the Boundary
There is a world outside
and I saw it
through the windows
and over the silver chain fence
that reflects the sun
and keeps us inside
There is a world outside
and I felt it
through the windows
the sun reaches its fingers into my room
and caresses my cheek for a moment
then withdraws
There is a world outside
and I want it
mountains stretching up
up into the cloudless sky
where the snowcovered peak
tickles the stars
There is a world outside
and I got it
an everlasting sea of blue
that laces through my fingers
and accepts me into
the beauty the world has to offer
