If I ever left you and joined heaven, I would ask god if I could be born again
I would be the breeze that stroked your cheek
I would be the sunset and the sunrise from the east to the west
I would be the very earth that you would walk on
I would be the storm that carries rage
I would be the calm and steady ocean
And the flowers that grow in the summer and spring
I would be the rain that falls if I shed tears
I would be the sun that warms your face
I would be in the animals of everyday
And the clouds that sometimes block the sunshine away
I wouldn’t be very far to call for I will not stay in heaven
I will stay near you, beside you through everyday
I’ll look out for you through day and night
I’ll watch from the dim lighted moon that rests high above in the sparkling stars
I’ll fly from treetop to treetop and sing a hopeful and happy tune
