Admiration's Downfall
November 1, 2014
To be so contaminated with a disgust for admiration,
I settle for lust.
I watch as he walks by,
Knowing it was never to be,
And allowing myself to be free in the arms of another.
Finding confidence in the ears of a friend,
and the time of another,
I allow myself to fall.
I spiral further from the eyes of my supporters
Into a world seemingly foreign to me.
When I finally arrive, I end my spiral,
Landing on the concrete below.
I look up to see an endless ladder.
But, Somehow I know I have someone waiting for me.
