Sharp & Blue
A girl with a blue letter
told to walk backwards watched as
yellow wafers of a pale planet
met concrete, cracked
trampled soon after
an image not photographed
muddied, laying in hapless defeat
The dizzying discord of the bells on sunday
drowning in knowing the rhythm
until the next morning, when
The fluorescent lights sting
Aching molars and a torn eraser
From time to time creep up to be acknowledged
A flicker of an eye illuminates,
more than the switch
when motions are concluded
if for a perceived second
A girl with a blue letter
Tracks a screen configured
The cacophony of a copy machine, after the phone is silenced
Her legs the last to know
