What the Sun Missed
If I am not there. Do not know. It is interpretation.
Do not interpret the flow for it is wild and unruly.
It has yet to be brushed and tended to with care.
Thus it lashes and batters the rocks that hold it's shape.
If I am not there. Do not know. It is interpretation.
If the sun only shines for a minute, it misses the best part.
For only when the moon shines does the flow calm.
Flow slows to a trickle. While all others are asleep.
Bear witness to growth. Plants grow their roots.
Deep beneath the earth. The brook breeds change.
If the sun only shines for a minute, it misses the best part.
If I am not there. Do not know. It is interpretation.
And with every interpretation the reality gets skewed.
And when the sun shines it might miss the new plants and change.
For it was only a minute the sun was shining.
But the moon saw it all.

This poem is about someone eavesdropping on a conversation only for a moment. It is supposed to depict how interpretations can be decieving and reacting to a half story can undermine growth within a relationship.
