Perfectionist
He told her she was perfect,
But I guess not as perfect as her best friend.
Maybe she had a new-found defect,
Or maybe her friend had a little more trend.
She doubted herself though,
But she wouldn't let it show.
How could something so perfect have a fault?
She couldn't, no, so she hid it in a vault.
This vault slowly grew,
Until she turned an icy blue.
And now that she's gone,
Reality just began to dawn.
She was perfect to me,
But if only she could have come to see...
