a human being
so wrapped in self doubt
so easily pushed into believing lies
so strong
stronger than the rest
because they have to carry the most weight
changing for someone
they don't even know
thinking they’re weak
when they’re not
this is a teenager
a special creature
found at any normal school
stuck between
childhood
and adulthood
a beautiful being that should believe in itself
someone that should never hurt themselves
never let anyone put them down
never let the doubt get to them
too bad the teenager isn't programed like that
too bad it's not that easy
the self doubt does seep through the cracks
they do get put down
pushed around
and made fun of
we are the teenager
and we don't need predators
to hunt this species
because we are our own
