Let’s run away you and I,
To a place where life can’t get us.
Where pain, suffering, and responsibility cannot go,
So come on, let's go.

Let’s run through the evergreen meadows you and I,
And watch the time never go by,
We'll run all day and talk all night.
so come on, let's go.

Let’s run from the I.V. and medications you and I,
To a place of pure meditation and happiness lies,
Where there are no tears so nobody cries.
So come on… Let’s go.

Just stay with me, it will be just you and I,
Because I’m not ready to say my last goodbye,
But I know you must leave and the end comes nigh.
I guess…I…Don't want you to go.

I wrote this piece for a frined. Her father is dying of stage 4 cancer and this poem came to mind.
