Clean, white ice shimmers under intense lights.
The rink is packed with many artistic skaters that love the ice as much as I do.
Shimmery dresses show off the personality of these creative athletes.

Expressive music fills my ears as one by one, skaters preform their stunning routines.
Blades screech as they scratch the ice while jumps and spins are preformed.
Supportive cheers are heard after every routine, making me long for that sound.

Nerves fill my body as I get ready to take the ice, but as I step on, my nerves are lifted  because this is where I belong.
Will I land all of my jumps?
What happens if I fall?

These thoughts fade away as my graceful music starts, and I get lost in the rest of my  performance.
As I land my final jump, I close my eyes and savor my final moment on the ice.
How did I do?
When I open my eyes, what I see and hear, fills my heart with happiness.

Cheering
Cheering
Cheering
