the colors are where it begins
Red
Like the blood that pools after a war
Like the heart that beat, beat, beats
Orange
Like the sunset that paints the bluish-grey sky
Like the fire that burns in her eyes
Yellow
Like the tall sunflowers that reach towards the light
Like the bees that buzz buzz buzz on by
Green
Like the envy that tortures her heart
Like the grass that sprouts all around
Blue
Like the sea deep and dark and mysterious
Like the sky big and spacious and free
Violet
Like the plums freshly picked on a warm summer day
Like the flower in her hair when the wind makes her sway
These colors form the way we see things
They make our reality, our dreams, our everything
