Leading Nowhere
Stopping,
Starting,
Finishing,
Beginning
The way of life,
The path that leads
To empty goals
And pointless ambitions
The shell that covers
An empty mass
Of air
Stopping,
Starting,
Continuing onward
Oblivious to other lives
Staring downwards at the path
The path that leads you nowhere
Stopping,
Starting
Tramping forward
Thinking the road
You pound on now
Is the only one
That gets you somewhere
Stopping,
Starting,
At every turn
There’s another way
Another option
To end this meaningless
Path you travel
Stopping,
Starting,
You won’t get far
And now the choice
Is yours,
To stop or start
Your life again
By taking
That second path
