Exhaustion
Exhaustion crept inside her
He made himself at home
Her ribs served as his shelter
Heart and lungs a dome
Though she was vibrant
He was rather not
Soon her life became silent
Yet she fought his clot
The battle was bloody
But she had enough
The lingering of exhaustion
Would haunt her no more

I was inspired to write this poem after a long week. I think the personification of exhaustion truly showcases how powerful it truly is, taking over mind and body very easily.
