Chase
So I'll run
I'll run until I lift
myself, my soul, off of the Face
I'll run until I feel
only the simple air and bliss
and the silence overwhelms my peace
and frightens away my pain and my terror
forever
Forever I'll run
and I'll leave behind
a crimson trail of my sorrow and my belief,
all those hopes and dreams,
Thats what They called them
Let's be real.
So I'll run
I'll keep at running
and chase no one,
nothing at all
I'll run away
from myself and from You,
scared and brave
no one
follow me

This was one of those spur-of-the-moment type writings, where I was just sittng on my couch and had way too many feelings to get out. This poem does not have to relate to any one specific issue, that's what's great about it. Any one person reading this can relate it to any one of their own personal problems, and no one will ever have to know what it means to you.
