Popcorn Past
To change the past is to change the future.
The steady beat of a song that
is not new, but new to you.
Remember that time when
the forgotten popcorn
caught flame in the microwave?
Yet to change what happened
before, is to change something
that has not yet happened.
Now when the time is right
buttered popcorn encourages,
not disappoints.
So why change the past
when it is a part of the future?
The answer is reflecting in
the glass of the microwave.
