America
I crowd around with your sick and your poor,
afterall, we are all One huddled mass.
I’d desperately reach into my wallet if I could,
but these checks are all but balanced.
Everyday, we’d climb the sprouting trees to pick the fruits,
if these branches were not broken.
We board onto planes with contradicting propellers,
and as we spin in circles, We are the ones who suffer jet lag.
You tell me I live in the land of the free,
yet your sense of bravery comes at a cost.
So, This is what we fought for?
What can I do for My country?
What has My country done for me?
