Where I go, my soul is sealed
Where I stay, my secrets are revealed
Out there, I am sane and pure
Elsewhere, I am scared and demure
This is my sanctuary, my haven
This place is not a refuge for a raven
They, are not strangers from midst
They, are what clears the mist
They have seen me in my weakest state
Until I rise, they will continue to wait
With their warmth and light
And their courageous might
My family will forever and always be
My sanctuary

The author's comments:

My happy place is inbetween my family and my bedroom. In the beginning, I thought that my happy place was my bedroom, but as I was writing, it came to me that it is my family where my heart lays. They not only give me a place to stay, they give me their love and guidance.
