Old Loves Poem
He was my light and my sunshine
He was my hope and my dreams
I loved him
And I think he loved me
We had a bond that I have never felt
Then we broke and I had never dealt
Dealt with such pain
Like swimming in my brain
It’s all scrambled
My emotions confused
My heart is all bruised
I can’t think of a way to handle
I wish I had him
Why can’t he see
That he was all in the world to me
He and I were perfect
Until now, now I regret it
Regret ever falling in love
Then trying to fly like a dove
So I wish that he will read this
And maybe I will regret it
Until then my love
Your unfortunate dove
