Poetry Is My Enemy

They are detesting, depressing works of art
That are always forcing me to write from my heart!
Is this an ancient form of torture?
All the words I tend to butcher.
My brain feels like its going to boil
As if set fire by the place of torment and toil!
But hopefully I am finally done,
So I don’t have to write another one.
And as you can see,
Poetry is my enemy.
